General Hospital Recap: Thursday, July 27 – Gladys Blocks Maxie at Ferncliff – Montague Lies About Sasha’s False Memories

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Thursday, July 27, reveals that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) was surprised to see Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) behind the counter at Kelly’s. Carly said she owned the place, so Nina said good for her before admitting Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) let her visit.

After Nina thanked Carly for dropping her vendetta, Carly asked who said that she did.

Nina just assumed Carly had buried the hatchet, but Carly didn’t want to play games and ranted at Nina for taking over her life.

Once Carly acknowledged that she was dealing with a setback, she vowed to take back every single thing she lost and marched into the kitchen.

Nina followed Carly to ask if that was a threat, so Carly said maybe it was or maybe it was just her mantra.

After Carly ordered Nina to get out of her kitchen and take a seat so a waitress could serve her, Nina said she’d lost her appetite and left.

In the GH breakroom, Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) found Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) crying and clearly needed backup, so he sent an SOS text to Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst).

In Curtis Ashford’s (Donnell Turner) room, Liz checked his vitals before he asked her not to allow any visitors – especially not Portia and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali).

After receiving Finn’s text, Elizabeth took over for him on support duty with Portia, who admitted Curtis wanted nothing to do with her and assumed she was acting out of pity.

Portia insisted she still wanted a life with Curtis whether he was in or out of a wheelchair.

Liz asked if Portia would still be fighting for her marriage if Curtis hadn’t been injured, so she said that she would.

Portia acknowledged that she’d loved Curtis for most of her life, so Liz asked what she’d do now that she’d had that realization.

Back in Curtis’ room, Finn stopped by to express concern about Curtis isolating himself.

As a fellow addict in recovery, Finn worried about Curtis falling prey to addiction and locking himself away with his drug of choice.

Curtis insisted this wasn’t about drugs; it was about his pride as a man since he didn’t want to drag Portia and Trina down.

Although Curtis didn’t want to be helpless, Finn argued that he shouldn’t push away people who cared when he needed them most.

Later, a determined Portia barged in Curtis’ room and tossed some rehabilitation pamphlets at him.

After Portia declared that they would handle this as husband and wife, she said they were in this together – no matter the odds or what life threw their way.

Portia stormed back out and left Curtis looking pensive.

At Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) apartment, she scolded Georgie Spinelli (Eden Harker) and James West (Gary James Fully) since they wouldn’t stop fighting over a tablet.

Maxie warned that James and Georgie had to clean up their room or else they couldn’t go with Mac Scorpio (John J. York) to the pool.

Mac also struggled to get Georgie and James under control after Maxie left, but Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) showed up and had them obeying orders in no time.

At Ferncliff, Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) panicked when she woke up alone and restrained, but Mandy the nurse practitioner came in and tried to reassure her.

Sasha couldn’t remember what happened and didn’t think she belonged in a place for the criminally insane.

When Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) arrived with Dr. Damon Montague (Darin Toonder), she explained that Sasha had tried to eliminate Cody Bell (Josh Kelly).

Dr. Montague also delivered the news that Sasha had a psychotic break and became delusional.

Sasha argued that multiple people had told her she was doing better – including Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), Maxie and everyone else at Deception.

However, Dr. Montague acted like Sasha made up false memories to help herself cope with the situation.

Meanwhile, Gladys stepped out and stopped Maxie from entering Sasha’s room.

Maxie thought Sasha could use a visit from a friend, but Gladys convinced her that the best thing was to let the professionals help her.

Back with Sasha, she became suspicious of Dr. Montague since everything was going great until she started seeing him and took that prescription.

Dr. Monague said Sasha was getting agitated and needed to relax, so she shouted and tried to stop him from injecting something into her IV.

Unfortunately, Dr. Montague did it anyway, so Sasha lost consciousness soon after.

Meanwhile, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) pushed Cody to be honest about why Gladys couldn’t be trusted. Cody finally confessed that Selina Wu (Lydia Look) ran high-stakes poker games and that Gladys lost a lot of money at them.

After Cody explained that’s why Gladys sold Brando Corbin’s (Johnny Wactor) garage, he added that Gladys was dipping into Sasha’s account to repay her gambling debt.

Cody admitted that Selina bankrolled him to make sure her invited players won just enough.

Since Selina threatened to get rid of Cody permanently if he told anyone, he said his life was now in Dante’s hands.

At Molly Lansing-Davis’ (Brooke Anne Smith) apartment, she had her foot propped up in a medical boot when Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) entered and brought her coffee.

Molly explained how she’d been distracted in some new heels, so she’d fallen on the stairs at the courthouse. Of course, Molly had babies on the brain, so that was the reason for her distraction.

Since there had been so many obstacles, Molly suggested maybe this was the universe’s way of saying she wasn’t meant to be a mother.

Sam asked how Molly would feel if she never had kids, so she said the rational part of her told her that she’d be fine.

Even so, Molly felt in her heart that something would always be missing if she didn’t have children.

Sam assured Molly that she had plenty of time to make a decision about how to have kids with TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow).

Once they made that decision, Sam said she’d be there for Molly and could maybe even babysit for her someday.

General Hospital spoilers say Molly will have another conversation with Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) soon, so stick with us for updates on their complicated sister bond.
