General Hospital Spoilers Recap: Tuesday, July 18 – ‘Eddie’ Rejects Olivia’s Offer – Tracy’s Backup Plan – Anna to the Rescue
General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Tuesday, July 18, reveals that Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) was grateful to Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) for bringing “Eddie Maine” aka Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) back to the Quartermaine mansion, but “Eddie” made it clear that he wasn’t staying.
Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) argued that if was the case, “Eddie” could turn right around and leave. Although Olivia didn’t want “Eddie” confusing Leo Quartermaine (Easton Rocket Sweda), things actually went well once Leo came downstairs.
Leo asked “Eddie” whether an octopus or squid was cooler and was surprised when “Eddie” gave the wrong answer. After Leo said his dad would know, he realized Ned really wasn’t his dad and learned he was “Eddie” the musician instead.
“Eddie” seemed impressed as he let Leo teach him about various types of animals. Leo also let “Eddie” borrow Ned’s guitar for a song and suggested he could play until his dad got back – at least he thought his dad was coming back.
Once Leo went upstairs to bed, Olivia thanked “Eddie” for being so kind to him. “Eddie” insisted Leo was a sweet kid and added that he didn’t want to hurt anybody.
All “Eddie” wanted to do was live his life, but all Olivia wanted was her husband back.
At Cody Bell’s (Josh Kelly) urging, Olivia offered “Eddie” the room above the stables, but “Eddie” wanted to return to Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) penthouse and had Chase take him back there.
However, Chase squeezed in a few moments with Brook Lynn first to let her know he planned to be more accepting of life’s messy, complicated situations.
Chase didn’t want Brook Lynn to feel judged constantly since he loved her exactly the way she was, so Brook Lynn said she felt the same.
Although Brook Lynn wanted to be honest about the rest of the Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) story, Chase said he trusted her to tell him what he needed to know and come to him if she needed help.
In Rice Plaza, Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) tried to thank Tracy for helping Chase get his badge back, but it turned into an argument about whether they’d abandon their kids.
Since Tracy was insufferable, Gregory tried to make a dramatic departure and dropped his keys. As Gregory’s hands seized up due to a spasm, he was unable to pick them up.
Tracy mocked Gregory since his self-righteous exit wasn’t as effective when he had to fumble around for his key set.
After Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) talked to Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) about all the surrogacy drama with her sisters, she found Gregory struggling and handed his keys to him.
Alexis ranted that no one should have to face Tracy alone in this state, so Tracy questioned what state she was referring to. However, Alexis simply led Gregory away and offered to sit with him while he waited for his spasms to subside.
Back at the Quartermaine mansion, Tracy wasn’t pleased to learn Brook Lynn and the others had simply let Ned go. Brook Lynn also privately warned Tracy that she wouldn’t be spying for her anymore, but Tracy hinted about having another way to score Deception info.
At Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) house, she talked to Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) about the security at the townhouse and how she had to make the enemy believe that they could get to her.
When Mac Scorpio (John J. York) showed up, he asked if Anna had heard from Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner).
Mac only knew that Felicia took a trip for a case that had something to do with Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight), but Anna also knew that Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) was with her.
Unfortunately, Mac couldn’t shake the feeling that Felicia was in trouble, especially if she was with Lucy.
In Pine Valley, Jackson Montgomery (Walt Willey) insisted Felicia should be arrested for breaking and entering. As for Lucy, she was going down for straight-up fraud!
Jackson had the officer put handcuffs on Felicia, who warned against dragging Mac into this when Lucy mentioned that Felicia was the wife of Port Charles’ police commissioner.
After Lucy pointed out that they got one phone call each, she said she knew exactly who to call. Felicia got in touch with Anna, who said Mac was there and put him on speakerphone.
Felicia made up a bogus story for the call when she realized Mac was listening, but Lucy insisted Anna had to tell her friend, Jackson Montgomery, not to arrest them.
Anna wound up speaking to Jack alone – and though they didn’t really have a personal relationship, she managed to convince him this was a simple lovers’ quarrel and got him to drop the charges.
Jack admitted that love can make you do crazy things, so Felicia and Lucy were free to go once the cop released them from their handcuffs.
In the hallway, Felicia admitted that she found out who was responsible for the shell corporation sending Martin $50,000 per month. It was ex-wife number three, so Lucy realized Martin was receiving alimony.
Back with Jack on Tuesday’s GH episode, he got on the phone and gave someone updates. Jack thought the person on the other end would want to know that Lucy and her PI were asking questions about Martin and Maquillage.
Once Dante came home to Sam, she showed him a pic of Cody with Selina Wu (Lydia Look) and admitted she was pretty sure Selina got him off the hook for the bracelet theft.
Dante questioned why Selina would help Cody and acknowledged that the PCPD had been running surveillance on her at The Savoy for three or four months.
That was far longer than normal, so Sam said Mac didn’t want Cody to get in more legal trouble. Sam also mentioned that she thought Mac was disappointed when the paternity test revealed he wasn’t Cody’s dad.
The whole thing left Sam wondering if she should warn Cody about the Selina sting and try to keep him from getting arrested.
General Hospital spoilers say Cody will face more setbacks as his storyline heats up, so stay tuned for some shocking news! CDL will have other sizzling General Hospital spoilers, news and updates, so make us your one-stop GH source.
