ITV Emmerdale fans ‘switch off’ over Aaron Dingle’s behaviour as Chas issues ultimatum
Emmerdale character Chas Dingle issued an ultimatum to her son Aaron Dingle this evening - as fans threaten to 'switch off' over his character's behaviour
Chas Dingle had an ultimatum for her son Aaron on Emmerdale tonight – as fans threatened to ‘switch off’.
Aaron Dingle – played by Danny Miller – has made quite a nuisance of himself since he returned to the village. He has caused trouble for all the Dingles including Cain and his brother Caleb Miligan and Chas isn’t pleased to see him back either.
However, he reached a new low tonight when he ridiculed Charles’ son Ethan in front of the whole of the Woolpack in revenge for Charles sticking up for his mum the previous day. It left Charles fuming whilst Chas was also devastated.
Having spoken to Paddy about what to do, they both decided the best thing they could do was to cut him off completely and make him learn his lesson. Chas visited him at the garage and fumed over what he’d done, insisting she’d cut him off for good.
Taking to social media, fans fumed over Aaron’s behaviour, praising Chas for her decision. One wrote: “Chas needed to do this, he really needs to be brought down a peg or two,” whilst a second added: “I’ve stopped watching it. Too much doom and gloom.”
A third shared: “Love Aaron but Chas was right here, it’s heartbreaking for him that he’s not allowed to see Eve but maybe this will bring him back into reality and make Aaron realise how horrible he’s been. If Paddy was acting like this around Eve, Chas would cut him off straight away. This is the reality check Aaron needs and hopefully we’ll get the nice, kind Aaron back soon,” with a fourth adding: “I don’t like this Aaron bring the old one back.” A fifth wrote: “He deserved that big time!”
Actor Danny Miller previously hit back at those who criticised his character, defending his behaviour. He said recently: “Someone Tweeted me the other day and said it’s no wonder, he’s [Aaron] got two dead boyfriends, dead sister, dead gran, he’s been to prison, his husband’s in prison, so there’s no wonder he’s a little bit angry, which is kind of nice for me to play.”
Danny described Aaron as having “lost the plot entirely”. Explaining what his character has been going through, he shared: “He’s very selfish, angry, maybe slightly depressed in a way I guess from everything that’s happened. And he’s not dealt with the grief very well. So the state of mind is that he’s just angry at everybody, and just constantly wanting a fight.”
