Emmerdale star Lawrence Robb has revealed villain Harry's past link to his character Mackenzie Boyd - but could this be Harry's real reason for revenge rather than supporting his daughter Chloe

Mackenzie Boyd and Damon Harris on Emmerdale

Emmerdale star Lawrence Robb has revealed villain Harry’s past link to Mackenzie Boyd – as a new reason for revenge is ‘confirmed’.

Ahead of some very dramatic Christmas scenes, last week, we found out that Chloe’s father is actually Damon Harris – better known to viewers as Harry, who has been terrorising the Dingles for weeks. Desperate and unsure what to do, Chloe decided to give her dad a call before meeting up with him – as it was revealed that evil Harry is actually her absent father.

In the coming days, Mack will find himself realising what sort of danger he’s in at the hands of an evil Harry. He will be seen sitting bound in a chair in an abandoned factory – but will he be ok, or is he at risk?

Whilst many are suspecting Harry might take revenge on Mack for his daughter Chloe’s sake, after he chose Charity over her, actor Lawrence Robb has now revealed that a past interaction between Mack and Harry is no doubt on the villain’s mind.

Speaking to The Mirror and other press, he revealed: “We’ve had a moment with Harry in the past. Offscreen! But we went to go and steal watches from Harry,” before Emma Atkins added: “That was a long time ago!”

“So we’ve been in Harry’s house, we’ve nearly attempted to do the dirty on Harry’s bed,” Lawrence then added, before Emma – who plays Charity Dingle – shared: “So to say he’s got it in for us is an understatement. He’s got all this knowledge on us and we’re not really aware of that he’s got all this stuff on us until we are very aware of it.”

In scenes around three years ago, viewers watched Charity and Mack break into Chloe’s home – which of course would be owned by evil Damon Harris (Harry). In one part of the scene, they stole some watches which belonged to him. Could Harry actually be targeting Mack over his own revenge, or is it all about his daughter Chloe and what she needs?

Chloe is also unaware of their past interaction – but actress Jessie Elland recently teased her character could turn villainous.

She said: “When she gets in contact with him, it’s the first time she’s been in contact with him for two years. The way it ended with him was him getting one of his henchmen to throw all her stuff out on Main Street, so it’s a very complicated thing … As she’s got older, she’s started to realise the person who he really is, but even then I don’t think she’s understood the extent of how bad he is … She feels so pushed that she’s reached out to him, that kind of encapsulates what the relationship is like.”
