ITV Emmerdale teases new love interest for Bear after sweet scene with villager
Emmerdale looks like it's lining up sweet scenes as it has teased romance for Bear Wolf with another villager on the hit ITV soap
Emmerdale has teased a potential new love interest for Bear Wolf in scenes this week.
In recent episodes, it was clear to see that Bear had feelings for Claudette Anderson and his village crush didn’t go unnoticed by Liam Cavanagh, who spotted his burgeoning attraction to the villager.
On Thursday night, Charles Anderson managed to convince Nicola King and mother Claudette to co-organise the Christmas Fair. And it wasn’t long until the two butted heads with plenty of digs made. During the meeting, it was clear to see that Bear fancied Claudette and he was even teased by Liam.

Later, Claudette stepped outside to get fresh air, where Bear joined her, bringing a hot drink. Claudette opened up to Bear about her late on-off husband, Victor, and son Charles’ childhood, in particular during the Christmas period. Bear said: “I’m sorry for your loss, but you’ve got friends here. Good friends, who care about you, and care very deeply indeed…”
Soap watchers will recall that Claudette’s on-off husband, Victor, who is Charles’ father, died in August. Victor had been released from prison just weeks before in June and he had attempted to reconnect with his family before his shock death.
Elsewhere, wrestler Bear Wolf was first introduced on the soap in 2019 after Paddy Kirk discovered the man who raised him wasn’t his dad. After attending Bear’s wrestling convention with Marlon Dingle, he managed to take a DNA test and found out Bear was his dad and travelled to Belfast to reunite with him.

It comes as Emmerdale actor Joshua Richards, who plays Bear, teased his character’s upcoming scenes at the Inside Soap Awards back in September. Talking exclusively to the Mirror on the red carpet, the actor said of his character’s next few months: “Maybe some love, I think I’d like to see him have a bit of love and companionship.” Someone already there? Someone new? “I couldn’t possibly tell you!”
So far, Bear hasn’t had much luck with the ladies in the village. Earlier this year, Bear got the wrong end of the stick and tried to pursue his son Paddy’s ex-wife and now love interest again, Mandy Dingle. In awkward scenes, Bear even leant in for a kiss to which Mandy was quick to reject his advances, admitting it’s his son she’s after…
