Pregnant Dawn Fletcher’s birth chaos triggered during very festive Emmerdale spoiler video
Dawn Fletcher (Olivia Bromley) is set to narrowly escape having a Christmas Day baby as her contractions begin in a new Emmerdale spoiler video.
Dawn found out she was pregnant earlier this year, which caused concerns among the family when Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) revealed the news in front of a horrified Clemmie, who then ran away.
Luckily, she was found, and soon came round to the idea of a little brother of sister.
In the new video, Dawn takes Clemmie to the village hall, where preparations for the Christmas fair are in full swing. The whole village is decked out, and Clemmie is thrilled when she spots Claudette Anderson (Flo Wilson) carrying a plate of mince pies.
Dawn reveals that Clemmie was too excited for breakfast, so Claudette takes her off to eat one away from the prying eyes of project manager Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler).
It is then that Dawn starts to feel a pain in her stomach, causing concern for Tracy Metcalfe (Amy Walsh). Tracy urges Dawn to sit down, unaware that her contractions have begun and she is in the early stages of labour.
As things progress, Dawn doesn’t have the labour she planned for, as actress Olivia Bromley revealed.
‘Dawn has obviously previously had quite a traumatic experience being pregnant when she was addicted to heroin at the time and had her baby taken away from her so I think this second chance at pregnancy, she wants to do everything totally different and almost is putting herself under extreme pressure to be the perfect mother, pregnant person.
‘She can’t quite believe it, she’s very stressed about it.
‘So what she decides to do is go completely drug free basically and that is really daunting for her. But also she goes down the holistic route – she wants to have a water birth and she wants it to be perfect but of course as in life these things don’t always go to plan and so she actually ends up going into labour at the Christmas Fair where she’s not with Billy (Jay Kontzle), she’s actually with Aaron (Danny Miller) at the time.
‘That is not her expected labour but in the end she does manage to get back on her drug free plan and they have a healthy baby.’
Elsewhere, Tom King (James Chase) is brimming with excitement at the prospect of meeting special guests Torville and Dean, but is set to face devastation as Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) prepares to propose…
