You do such a wonderful job recapping, guessing future episodes and explaining everything! You’re demeanor is always upbeat, even when you’ve got a cold/flu going on! Well done, I got so tired of those reviewing on other channels either turning out to be 100% wrong or being so negative. Those of us who are die-hard fans of everything Doctor Who really appreciate you (and we do love Ellie in her Best River Song Goodbye Sweetie from Who culture).
I’m a little worried that the episode may have too much going on, given how straightforward The Star Beast was but still felt a tad rushed, I’m hoping the Giggle has enough time for everything it plans to do.
This episode (The Giggle) is to be the longest (in time) at 1 hour and (about) 5 minutes (the other two being 58 and 55 respectively). I like that Mel is being introduced again to see how she is, to see here as the older character (a bit like Sara-Jane but not), and seems she be in an episode of the next series as well.
You are correct about the renumbering system. Disney + is giving DR Who an international platform and exposure to millions of new viewers, yet they only have rights to the New content, nothing made prior to 2023. It would be both confusing and a barrier for new viewers to see the first episode available identified as season 14. It’s a minor thing and will give our favorite show a better chance of attracting new fans and running for many years to come.
Ok, side thought. What if the regeneration happens before the end of the confrontation? There’s no long goodbye or visits and little time for words. Just, bam! Regeneration. That when we get 15 saying his “what’s going on here?” And that’s why Donna looks surprised..
