Matt Brown left the show a few years ago. He had a conflict with his family and was having issues with substance abuse.
He was involved in a scandal as he was accused of raping two women in 2008. According to reports, the attacks on two women happened two days apart. This only came to light after he checked himself into rehab. The victims said that they reported it but the District Attorney at the time didn’t prosecute.
What is he up to now?
It was reported that he now prefers living by himself. He is now located in Loomis, Washington, and it’s near his family’s Ranch, which is also in the same state.
After getting fired from the show, he earned by working in the far. Some fans are curious about his current situation as he never returned after leaving on season 8.
The town he’s currently residing in is just a small town with just a little over 100 residents. Since he prefers a solitary life, this town is an ideal place for him as there are fewer neighbors. He just has to go to the town proper if he needs supplies, but probably only makes a few runs since he is just living by himself.
It looks like a peaceful life. And it probably really helped him as he often talks about his sobriety. Last year, he celebrated his second year of sobriety. He talks about his achievement in order to spread awareness and that it is possible to make a positive change in your life, especially because of what he’s been through.
According to reports, his siblings Noah, Rain, Gabe, and Snowbird are still not speaking with him. But it is probably for the best, and they are still probably not ready to make peace with each other. His siblings have their own issues as well. And if he’s at peace with that, we should too.
Although it’s sad to think that Matt is living remotely without any support from his family, we should feel happy as he was able to make positive changes in his life all by himself.
Matt shares his solitary lifestyle
He may be living in the woods, but our boy Matt still knows how to use social media. He uses his Instagram to share his adventures. He currently has 242,000 followers and built a little community of his own. Clearly, he still has a lot of fans. He shares that he camps a lot and goes hiking. And he receives a lot of great comments from fans all over the world as they are inspired by the lifestyle he has chosen for himself.
