Whitney Dean and Zack Hudson take major step in EastEnders Laura Carreno-Muller
THINGS are moving ahead for Whitney Dean and Zack Hudson as the pair have decided to foster children together.
Next week, the EastEnders couple receive great news which will pave the way to their fresh start away from all the drama.
Whitney (played by Shona McGarty) has been put through the wringer during her time in Albert Square from her grooming storyline in her teens to her involvement in bringing serial killer Gray Atkins down.
But in recent months, BBC One viewers found out she’s set to leave Walford and soap fans are hopeful she’ll get the happy ending she deserves.
The fan favourite made the decision to foster kids with her partner Zack Hudson (James Farrar) following the loss of their daughter Peach earlier this year.
To achieve their dreams of a happy family without going through the same trauma of losing a child, the pair have had to make the difficult decision to leave No.1 behind to get their own place.
Coming up next week, the lovebirds are one step closer to getting what they want.
Whitney and Zack are excited to get the keys to their new place and to hear they’ll be getting a visit from the fostering department next week.
But will everything go according to plan for Zack and Whitney?
Actress Shona McGarty decided to leave the London-based program after being part of its line-up for 15 years.
She has admitted that her decision to leave was a tough one.
“I have decided to spread my wings and will be leaving EastEnders”, she said.
“I have loved my years in the show. I have been trusted with some incredible storylines and have made amazing friendships — and family — which will endure.”
As mentioned above, fans are hoping Whitney gets a happy ending after being involved in heaps of traumatic storylines.
Theories surrounding her exit have emerged online, with many fans believing she could be splitting up from Zack or worse, be killed off.
Other more optimistic viewers are speculating that Whitney may get her big break in music as her singing talent is finally recognised.
What’s really ahead for her and Zack?
EastEnders airs from Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
