First Suspect Arrested in Interstate 64 Shootings - MySpace Page and More

Thanks to Silmo for pointing out there is a world outside of cVillain.

This is the picture of the first suspect, Slade Woodson who is in custody.

Interstate 64 Shooting Suspect

Silmo also points out that Slade Woodson has two myspace pages:

http://www.myspace.com/lostbogger

http://www.myspace.com/bakyrdbogn

Slade Woodson’s second myspace is set to private, but the “lostbogger” myspace page has information and pictures you may find interesting.

- He went to Western Albemarle High School from 2003 to 2007

- He likes Ford trucks and confederate flags

Now for the pictures.

Full press release after the break:

An Afton, Va., man is in custody on charges related to two shootings in the City of Waynesboro and is considered a suspect in the six reported shootings that took place on and near Interstate 64 in the Charlottesville region during the overnight hours of March 27, 2008.

At 4:48 a.m., Friday, March 28, 2008, the Albemarle County Police and Virginia State Police executed a search warrant at 6740 Yonder Hill Farm in Crozet. As the police tactical teams made entry into the residence, they were confronted by an individual armed with a handgun. The man was subsequently shot and flown to University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville for treatment. Albemarle Police have requested the VSP Police Shooting Investigation Team to investigate the incident.

There were a total of five people inside the residence, including the man who was shot and Slade A. Woodson, 19, of Afton, Va. Woodson was taken into custody without incident. No one else in the house was injured.

At this time, Woodson has only been charged on warrants issued by the Waynesboro Police Department. Woodson faces one felony count of shooting into an occupied residence and one felony count of destruction of property. The charges stem from two shooting incidents that occurred during the early morning hours of March 27 in the city of Waynesboro. Waynesboro Police are investigating these shootings which took place at a residence in the 200 block of North Commerce Avenue and the shooting of the DuPont Community Credit Union on Lucy Lane.

Woodson is considered a suspect in the shootings that took place on and near Interstate 64 during the early morning hours of Thursday, March 27, 2008. Investigators are still awaiting results from the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) on ballistic evidence collected at each of the scenes on and near I-64. Additional charges against Woodson are pending at this time.

Woodson is also the owner of an orange 1974 AMC Gremlin, which is similar in appearance to the vehicle captured in the surveillance video at the credit union in Waynesboro. The Gremlin was located Thursday afternoon abandoned along Route 29 in Albemarle County near the Greene County line. The vehicle was recovered by police and processed Thursday night. Ballistic evidence recovered from the car has been taken to the ATF lab in Maryland for analysis and will be compared to the other evidence recovered from the shooting scenes and vehicles.

I think giving this guy any more press than he already has is kind of sickening. It’s sensationalist - and having 4 HUGE photos of him on the front of Cvillain is a little too ‘fox news’ for me. Why would he (allegedly) do anything like this if not for the attention - which is exactly what this is giving him.

I wasn’t being serious, as any normal person could tell from the last sentence of my silly post. I’ll reprimand myself so that everyone else wont have to go without Shenanigans input, which has been really great.

Obviously this poor kid has had some things go wrong for him in life, which is why you put his picture on this site. Just don’t act like everyone is going to play nice and mind their manners when you post his picture all over the place as if he’s already guilty.

Some of the best adults I’ve spent time with are the same. A lot of the adults that look like you are suppose

My daughter said ( I called her today) , I knew Slade (of course I have to ask how well) she was superfly, I saw him at school. She said nothing nasty or passed judgement. I think she felt sad for him. She is in an (almost)
Ivy school and she had compassion for Slade. In a weird way I felt she thought he was pretty cool.. For some reason I am thinking this may not be what it seems. Bet my daughter in the back of her head is thinking the same. Guess she gave it all of two seconds, for her, this is kids are being kids ( they have great forgiveness, unless the person is a true asshole and kids can spot an asshole). For us one more person out there not acting right. Can’t wait to see what happens. But I feel sadness for Slade and what may have caused a 19 year old to behave this way, just sayin’!

Crimes are crimes no matter your income. But had not seen the article above.
Now I can sit in my fully secure house, alarms abound.

Just saying I do not think this story has played out. Time will tell. I’ll bet one week from now, all of us who
play on this site will move on. Lucky us. No one should have to be scared of shots. I’d just like to keep an open
mind on this. Never mind interracial relationships. I think we may be looking at a Hatfield and Mccoy (sp)
trick.Trust me, I am freaked out about shit like this. But this is a kid that needs to be treated as such. That being
said, I CAN NOT wrap my head around the fact he shot at random cars, for that I think he deserves nothing. But just for the fact no one was killed (poor excuse), I hope to beable to observe from a different approach. Sure, he may be one more stupid redneck that got his due. But… my intution is feeling differently. Don’t know why but it just is. Just a feelin’, most of the time they are not right on. Let’s see guys and gals.
It ain’t over in the holler! I am not related to the stupid behavng SOB, just for your info. Don’t even know him.
Bet there will be drugs involved. Little dude came down and got mad over something that he forgot while high,
then did not act right, was awful and probably doesn’t even remember what he did. NO excuse. Let’s wait to hear, is going to be full of interest. We all love that sh*t. Go to Perez Hilton, great fun!

No. No hugs. Velvet closet. I need to be locked away in a place where I cannot interact with people, I am fully losing it. I am sure I will be back to my jovial dysfunctional self tomorrow, but tonight… well… I should probably just leave it all alone. Internet and all that.

/only ever wanted forgiveness, but I know how that goes. that shit is rarer than amphibious giraffes.

B’yo - hope you feel better, but I’m inclined to edit your post as it may scare away some of our spring chickens. Would that ruin your overness?

@ 75 Stanley - We never said no sports. People just don’t care about sports on here from what I’ve seen in the past. Maybe that’s changed?

@ 74, Clarence - Yes, I love cVillain. If the laws allowed me to marry inanimate virtual objects, I would marry this site. But it’s not me. I am just a pawn the commenters use to start much more interesting things.

@ creasons and not-a-neighbor hater - Welcome to the party. Grab yourself some Miller High Life and hot pockets. The mud bog can be found around back.

Everyone… please remember to welcome people to the party. If you don’t welcome them it’s like a stranger walking into an party late at night when everyone’s tipsy and the stranger just gets ignored!

I suspect it has not. Which is too bad, because I suddenly and inexplicably care about college basketball, apparently.
