Days of Our Lives Recap: Thursday, August 3 – Chad’s Stefano Side – Eve’s California Dreams – Eric’s Proposal Rejected
Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Thursday, August 3, reveals that Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) finished the Bayview tour and got Harris Michaels (Steve Burton) settled in.
Soon after, Harris was taken aback to see Eve Donovan (Kassie DePaiva) and apologized for being a total jerk to her in high school.
Although Eve acknowledged that Harris was indeed a jerk, she had done a lot of work on herself at Bayview and was handling grief over Paige Larson’s (True O’Brien) demise in a healthier way.
Once Harris opened up about Megan DiMera’s (Miranda Wilson) mind control being the reason for his stint there, Eve admitted she tried to program Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) to take out Ciara Weston (Victoria Konefal).
It turns out Eve was deemed criminally insane in the aftermath, but she really committed to her treatment and was actually getting out in just a couple weeks.
Eve talked about her plan to visit her family in California and maybe get back into music to follow her dreams.
Since Bayview had done great things for Eve, she hoped Harris would get what he needed to out of it, too.
At the pub on Thursday’s Days episode, Kate Roberts Brady (Lauren Koslow) tried to convince Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) to give Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty) a chance and admitted she’d been keeping something from him.
Kate confessed to hiring a hit on Megan, but she explained that Harris refused to carry it out.
Although Kate worried Roman thought she was a monster, he insisted his love was unconditional.
Roman just wanted Kate to give him updates on her plan next time and let him be the voice of reason. That said, Roman understood why Kate would want to eliminate Megan after all the horrible things she’d done.
After Marlena arrived, she agreed with Roman’s reservations about Sloan – though they were both happy for Eric since he was finally becoming a father.
As for the topic of Harris’ stay at Bayview, Marlena assured Kate that he was right where he needed to be.
At the DiMera mansion on Thursday’s DOOL show, Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) brought EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) a box of Cuban cigars to congratulate him on the new baby.
Once Chad opened up about what a pest Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) had become, EJ urged him to stop being so polite.
Instead, EJ pushed Chad to ask himself what Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo) would do and fight for Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein).
EJ felt that Chad would lose Stephanie if he didn’t, so Chad decided his brother was right. After EJ told Chad to go be a DiMera, Chad rushed off to put Alex in his place.
At home, Stephanie opened the door to Alex, who brought some extra takeout to thank Chad and Stephanie for letting him tag along at the pub after his bad date.
Chad was still out, but Alex sat with Stephanie and opened up about ruining his date by talking about her.
However, Alex insisted it wasn’t as pathetic as it sounded since he was trying to tell Melinda about his epiphany.
Stephanie still thought it was rather disrespectful to talk about another woman on a date with someone else, but she understood that Alex’s motives were pure.
While Stephanie was checking on the kids, Chad returned and wasn’t happy to find Alex. That led to Chad getting in Alex’s face and making it crystal clear that he was done putting up with this.
Chad warned that Alex wouldn’t be crashing dinners or tagging along anymore, so he asked if Alex understood.
Alex insisted he wouldn’t make any more neighborly visits and that he’d back off trying to be friends, so Chad hoped he had his word on that.
When Stephanie returned, Chad played nice and acted like Alex should stay for dinner. Alex said he had some work to do and rushed off in a hurry, so Stephanie was perplexed.
Chad then told Stephanie about his earlier conversation with EJ, who helped him see that he shouldn’t take her for granted.
Once Chad gushed over Stephanie bringing light and love into his life again, they headed to their bedroom for lovemaking.
At the town square on Thursday’s Days episode, Melinda wasn’t watching where she was going and smacked right into Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker).
That sent Nicole’s milkshake and fried pickles flying, so Melinda offered to replace her snacks – though she had an ulterior motive.
As Nicole munched, Melinda quizzed her about her pregnancy as well as Sloan Petersen’s (Jessica Serfaty) own bun in the oven. That led to Nicole talking about the genetic testing and how Sloan accidentally ended up with her results.
Once Melinda was alone, she expressed doubt over the so-called mistake and seemed like she was putting it all together.
Melinda eventually left Sloan a voicemail since she really wanted to finish their conversation from earlier.
At Sloan’s apartment, Eric mentioned something about “Baby Brady” and left Sloan wondering why he assumed the baby would take his name. It wasn’t like they were married, but Eric suggested maybe they should be.
After Sloan realized Eric was proposing, he asked what she thought about marrying him.
Sloan eventually gave Eric a “hell no” on that less-than-romantic proposal since she didn’t need marriage or his last name.
When Eric wondered what Sloan did need from him, she said she needed love and called him a “jackass.”
Back at the DiMera mansion on Thursday’s Days episode, Nicole filled EJ in on literally running into Melinda and getting a replacement food plate.
EJ felt like Melinda must be up to something since she normally wasn’t that generous.
Nicole suggested Melinda’s interest seemed personal since she was asking about her baby as well as Sloan’s, so that news further baffled EJ.
In the end, EJ shrugged it off and guessed maybe workaholic Melinda was living vicariously through them.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Melinda’s about to make a mess of things, so stay tuned!
