So, there were periods when he was involved in conflict and his personal life suffered because he chose to bury his head in business. Separations and divorce created massive emotional upheaval for his children as a result.

So, Victor is trying to impart his wisdom into Adam’s thick head. But Victor’s namesake, Victor Adam, does not want to heed his father’s advice.

Sally was solely in love with Adam when they were together. That came after Adam initially rejected Sally’s pursuit of him.

Grossman’s character felt the time was not right for him and Sally to get together. That feeling proved to be a predictor because after later being with Sally for months, he broke things off.

Adam believes a cloud of doom hovers above him. He cared for Sally so much that he did not want her to be drug down by him. Yet, by breaking from her and lying about not loving her, he broke her heart.

Sally and Adam were expecting a baby later this year. But Ava Hope was lost in a miscarriage.

The above could have meant that the tie between Sally and Adam was broken. But it feels like the sad loss of their daughter reinforces the feelings that still exist in Sally’s heart.

Sally cares about Adam but is trying to will herself into having a life with his brother, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). The mementos Adam kept from their time together, which Sally becomes aware of reinforce that he has not moved on and might not be able to on Y&R.
