Days of Our Lives: Philip Is Returning With A NEW FACE
Days of Our Lives viewers have seen many actors portray Philip, and it’s time for a new face to now take over the role. On July 14, 2023, Soap Opera Digest reported that Philip would return with a face that DOOL fans are familiar with. DOOL Spoilers reveal that actor John-Paul Lavoisier, who played the role from 2015-2016, would reprise it once again. Lavoisier’s episode of reprisal is scheduled to air in August this year. It is exciting for DOOL fans to see a familiar face for Philip’s character finally.

Coming to the storyline, spoilers revealed that Kate will disclose the secret of her son being alive to Paulina Price in the upcoming weeks leaving her shocked. With that said, we can assume that Philip has recovered after his treatment and is ready to return to Salem soon. Perhaps, he is returning to pay tribute to the late John Aniston, who played Philip’s dad, Victor Kiriakis. Aniston passed away on November 11, 2022. Days of Our Lives makers wrote in Victor’s passing into the storyline, instead of recasting the role. Meanwhile, there is also a chance for Philip to return to comfort his ex-wife Belle Black. Alternatively, his storyline could get exciting if Philip receive the shocking news about his ex-lover Chloe moving on with Xander.
Philip Has Had A Long Journey
Philip’s character has gotten many faces since his introduction in 1998 on Days of Our Lives. Many child actors played the role until Philip was SOARsed in 1999. Brandon Tyler took over the older version. Later, Philip was played by fan favorite Jay Kenneth Johnson until 2002. The role was recast again with Kyle Brandt in 2003, but after his exit in 2006, Johnson stepped back again. And finally, John-Paul Lavoisier took over in 2015 until he left in 2016.
