General Hospital Recap: Tuesday, July 25 – Dex’s Police Interrogation – Chase the Rulebreaker – Ava Spills Nik News

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Tuesday, July 25, reveals that Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) took Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) up to the Metro Court pool so they’d have more room to dance, but he quickly realized it was closed and thought they should leave.

Brook Lynn argued that she had special standing with the owners and pushed Chase to break the rules with her just this once.

After Chase admitted he had a rebellious phase that included a motorcycle and skinny-dipping, Brook Lynn told him to prove it by skinny-dipping right now.

Chase ultimately challenged Brook Lynn to a bet on who could catch more peanuts using their mouth.

The loser had to jump in the pool without clothes on, so Chase was pleased when he caught nine peanuts and beat the eight that Brook Lynn caught.

Brook Lynn tried to get Chase to agree to a rematch, but he refused. Brook Lynn finally relented and kissed Chase for inspiration as she prepared to strip down.

However, Chase decided he’d pay Brook Lynn’s debt since that kiss was more than worth it, so he took off his clothes, skinny-dipped and told BLQ that he was willing to break the rules for her.

At GH, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) took Curtis Ashford’s (Donnell Turner) phone away since he was torturing himself with all kinds of medical info online that may or may not be true.

Curtis ranted about his doctors leaving him in the dark and felt it was his choice if he wanted to research things.

Portia finally said she’d give Curtis his phone back if he’d have takeout with her from their favorite Italian place, so Curtis agreed.

While Portia was ordering the food, Curtis seemed distraught over the info on his phone – though he tried to pretend he was upbeat when Portia returned.

Portia talked about how much she missed cooking and wanted to do it more now that she’d be cutting back on work.

Curtis asked why Portia would do that, so she said it was so she could spend more time with him at the hospital.

Portia suggested Curtis’ recovery could be a long process and hinted about maybe renting a one-level to avoid all the stairs at the beach house.

Curtis nixed that idea, so Portia thought they could hire a contractor to make the place more livable for him instead.

If Curtis was never going to walk again, he warned Portia that she wasn’t going to remodel their home. Curtis insisted if that was the case, Portia was going to let him go.

At the Port Charles Grill, Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) and Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) had such a wonderful time on their date that they didn’t even notice they were the last ones in the restaurant.

The manager assured Liz and Finn that it was fine as he gave them one last chance at dessert before the kitchen closed.

Finn and Liz shared some cake before he shared a kiss with her as well.

Next, Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) called Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and let him know they had a problem due to Gordon Stevens’ (Maurice Hall) body being found in the alley.

Sonny apparently instructed Dex to call the cops since he indeed called the incident in before Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Detective Bennett (Kendrick Cross) arrived.

After confirming that Gordon had no pulse, Dante started quizzing Dex about whether this guy was an associate of Sonny’s and how he found him.

Dex insisted he stumbled upon the body while cutting through an alley on his way home from GH, so Dante wondered why he was there. Dex said he was checking on Curtis, but Dante clearly didn’t buy that story.

Gordon was identified through his driver’s license, but Detective Bennett suggested they’d have to wait on the autopsy.

Dante told Dex he was free to go, but then he stopped Dex to ask if Gordon’s time in Pautuck and Pentonville rang a bell to him.

While Sonny was on the phone, Betty Rutherford (Ella Fentini) once again reminded Ava Jerome (Maurice Benard) that she had to sell her as the perfect candidate to take care of Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola).

When Sonny returned, Betty tried to charm him while Ava sang her praises. Sonny played along and assured Betty that they’d call her tomorrow with a decision, but he demanded the truth from Ava once Betty was gone.

Since Sonny could tell Betty had dirt on Ava, he pushed her to come clean. Ava admitted Betty was threatening her biological mother to get the job, so Sonny needed more info.

That led to Ava admitting Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey) was Austin Gatlin-Holt’s (Roger Howarth) cousin and that whoever he worked for wanted info on a company called Pikeman.

Ava pointed out that she was unsuccessful at snooping, so Mason tried to force her to replace the nanny and let her gather intel.

Sonny asked how Ava’s boyfriend fit into all this, so Ava insisted Mason had been pressuring and blackmailing Austin, too.

Ava admitted Avery wasn’t in any real danger during that scare at the park.

After Ava assured Sonny that she wouldn’t put Avery at risk, he asked why she wouldn’t reveal this the minute this nanny issue came up.

Although Ava acted like she thought she could handle this herself, Sonny wasn’t buying it and kept pushing for the real story.

Ava finally admitted she was responsible for Nikolas Cassadine’s (last played by Adam Huss) demise as the episode concluded.

General Hospital spoilers say Sonny has more shocking news ahead of him, so stay tuned for updates on the rest of Ava’s confession.
