Days of Our Lives Comings and Goings: Rachel Melvin Reprises Chelsea, Bo’s Daughter Returns!
Victor Kiriakis’ sudden passing on Days of Our Lives has paved the path for many lost characters to find their path back to Salem. A slew of characters have returned home to mourn the massive loss. We have already seen Philip’s comeback and the varied flavors of effect it had on various characters. From shock to joy to rage! All packed in one single episode. Now, the latest DOOL spoilers tease that another long-lost offspring is about to return for Victor’s funeral!
However, it will not be yet another one of Victor’s sons. Soap Opera Digest is reporting that Bo Brady’s daughter, Chelsea Brady, will be the center of this homecoming. Actress Rachel Melvin will reprise the role and enter the fold in the September 8, 2023, episode of Days of Our Lives. The fine actress first portrayed the character in 2005 and walked in Chelsea’s shoes all the way till 2009. In fact, Chelsea spent a lot of time with Victor Kiriakis on the show and absolutely adored her grandfather. Thus, it would have been really unfair not to bring her back for the tribute.

Reportedly, Rachel Melvin’s manager received communication from Days of Our Lives that they wanted the actress to reprise Chelsea for Victor’s memorial episode. Thankfully, she had a delightful response and was very willing to return to the fold. In fact, Rachel herself wanted to be part of Victor’s memorial episode, as it also serves as a tribute to Victor’s portrayer, John Aniston. Honestly, it is really heartening to see that even actors who haven’t been part of the soap for so long still hold so much love and respect for their ex-cast mates.
Moreover, it would be nice to see Chelsea back with her family on Days of Our Lives after such a long gap. Unfortunately, this will be a rather short comeback. Chelsea will once again step away from Salem after Victor’s epic farewell episode. However, Rachel’s return as Chelsea will once again revive the character. And perhaps strengthen the possibility for a longer return at a later point. Maybe when Bo finally wakes up
from his coma. He and Hope might return to Salem, and Chelsea might return for a family reunion!
