Days of Our Lives spoilers tease that Melina Trask (Tina Huang) has one of the most difficult jobs in Salem. As the District Attorney, Melinda is responsible for trying the criminals of Salem and putting them behind bars. The problem is that most of the charges never stick due to behind the scenes deals that the defendant makes to stay out of prison. Melinda’s position doesn’t male her the most popular person in town, although she really is just trying to do her job. And just recently, Melinda decided it was time to start dating again.

To that end, Melinda signed up for a dating service. She was set up on a blind date with Li Shin (Remington Hoffman). Melinda knows Li well, as she tried to have him charged with the attempted murder of Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash). Melinda had to drop the charges when the evidence against Li appeared to be fabricated. Melinda still believed that Li was guilty, so much to her surprise she went ahead with the date. Even more shocking was the fact that the two of them hit it off. That is until Melinda decided to get a confession.

Even though they were getting along quite well, Melinda decided to use their newfound closeness to get a confession. She began recording their conversation and then began to lead the conversation back to Stefan. But Li was on to Melinda and he found the recording device. Furious at being tricked, Li walked out of their date leaving Melinda alone. Melinda decided to try again the next night, as did Li. They both ended up at the same restaurant they had been to the night before but neither of them seemed to enjoy themself.

Despite the fact that their first date ended in disaster, it seems that Li and Melinda made quite an impression on one another. It seems likely that Melinda will agree to go out with Li once again, this time without a recording device. The two of them may very well hit it off and decide that they are perfect for each other. But what will happen when Melinda discovers that Li really was involved in Stefan’s murder? She may have to make a choice between her career and her personal life.
