Days of Our Lives Update: Monday, August 7 – Jason Gerhardt Debuts as Eric – Chloe’s Answer – Maggie’s Tight Spot
Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers update for Monday, August 7, indicates that Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) will keep her word for now, so she’ll make up an excuse for why she’s been at Sloan Petersen’s (Jessica Serfaty) apartment.
Jason Gerhardt will make his debut as a temporary Eric Brady recast, so his version of Eric will share scenes with Melinda and Sloan on Monday’s Days episode.
Melinda will probably act like she’s just been opening up to Sloan about her love life. Eric may end up telling Sloan how glad he is that she’s making a friend – even if Melinda can be a bit problematic at times.
Of course, Sloan will have to trust Melinda to keep her mouth shut about the rigged DNA test and the real paternity of Nicole Walker’s (Arianne Zucker) baby.
It could get tougher for Melinda to keep that secret as time goes on!
Next, Nicole will talk to EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) about Eric popping the question to Sloan, but she’ll insist she’s not jealous.
Instead, Nicole will make it clear that EJ is the man she wants, even if that’s not true deep down.
Days spoilers EJ will catch Nicole off guard when he drops to one knee and holds up an engagement ring.
DOOL fans will see EJ ask Nicole to marry him again and hope he gets a better response this time.
At home, Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) will await Chloe Lane’s (Nadia Bjorlin) proposal answer as well. Chloe will struggle to get on board with the idea of rushing into marriage, particularly since the timing of this marriage plea is suspicious.
Xander just found out Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) sealed the deal with Dimitri von Leuschner (Peter Porte), so that may be a factor in his sudden desire to head to the altar.
Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) also gave Xander updates on Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) being in a relationship with Rex Brady (Kyle Lowder) again – at least she thinks that’s the case!
Chloe may suspect Xander’s marriage push is more about his exes than it is about their own romance.
Whether Xander convinces Chloe or not, they’ll end the conversation on positive terms since she’ll pull him into a kiss.
Other Days spoilers say Maggie’s Chicago trip will come with a shocker since she’ll find out Sarah’s pregnancy news.
Based on the size of Sarah’s baby bump, Maggie will know there’s no way Rex could’ve fathered the child after they left town together.
Maggie will call Sarah out for keeping Xander in the dark on his baby, so Sarah will admit that’s what she’s doing.
There’ll be another problem when Sarah expects Maggie to keep the secret, too. That won’t be easy since Maggie cares so much about Xander, but Sarah will indeed push for her mom’s silence.
Back in Salem, Gwen will make a startling discovery. Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) will hide Dimitri in his room, but Gwen will realize he must have his new boyfriend in there.
Although Gwen might want to meet Leo’s latest lover, she’ll eventually give him some privacy.
Leo and Dimitri will breathe a sigh of relief, but their secret romance will become even more difficult to hide soon.
Finally, Gwen will cross paths with Melinda and gloat about her new engagement, but Melinda may predict her marriage will crash and burn!
